dot·on was born from a deep feeling of empathy and care, from a profound knowledge and in depth understanding of the human being and our needs.
We are the women behind the dots – Carole Duménil and Kathrin Unterbeck. We met when we had our first children. By now, nine years later, we have two kids each, our own businesses that look after others, their health and wellbeing. Throughout the years we have developed a deep friendship based on trust, respect and cultivating ourselves.
After working for several years in investment management in New York then London, Carole realised that her path was a different one and has now been an acupuncturist for over 20 years. Her acupuncture practice, Dao Vida is based in Marbella. As our Head of Product, she has developed all of our protocols from her knowledge and experience gained over the years. Her focus has always been on women and she understands the very specific needs of the cyclic nature of them.
Kat’s background is in business development and strategy and similar to Carole she found that there were ways in which to put her talents to use in a more serving way. For the past 6 years she has been heading up her coaching and consulting business Almali. As the Head of Strategy, Kat ensures that everything we do is in line with our values, ensuring that we stay true to putting you first and making sure that we reach you anywhere whilst never losing sight of joy.
We started dot·on to make our world a little less painful, less anxious and overall, a lot happier.
